Analytics on a phone

Every number is always fresh, and nobody has to gather reports.

Before

Any report meant asking the accountant or a sales manager and waiting a day or two. Margin per client lived in an Excel file put together once a month. Opening the accounting system on a phone is awkward, and exposing it to the outside is unsafe.

What I built

  • A mirror of the accounting system that refreshes itself.
  • On top of it, responsive reports in a browser: clients by year, ABC of products, margin per client and per product, purchases, receivables.
  • They open on a phone. There is no separate mobile app, and none is needed.

After

The numbers are already there when they are needed. Nobody has to gather a report.

What it gave

Decisions about a discount, a purchase or a client are made on fresh numbers, on the move. The owner stopped being the one who waits.

For your company

Everyone needs a different set of reports: margin per client for one company, sales and stock per shop for another, sales targets per manager or warehouse turnover for a third. The reports are written around your questions instead of picked from a ready-made list. Who sees what is configurable too: the owner everything, the head of a line of business only their own.

The "clients by year" report: how many clients each year, how many of them new, how many returning — and the same as a table going back to 2017. The money columns are hidden in the screenshot.
